Daniel Lurie
Tipping Point Community
Founder and Board Member
Daniel Lurie is Board Chair and Founder of Tipping Point Community, a nonprofit that advances the most promising poverty-fighting solutions in the Bay Area. He served as CEO of the organization from 2005-2020, and has helped to raise more than $350 million for housing, early childhood, education, and employment solutions in the region. Tipping Point’s Board covers all of its operating costs, so 100% of every dollar donated goes where it’s needed most. Lurie also served as Chair of the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee, helping to raise more than $13 million for community efforts, the largest philanthropic contribution in Super Bowl history.
Prior to founding Tipping Point, Lurie worked for the Bill Bradley Presidential Campaign and the Robin Hood Foundation in New York City. Lurie serves on the Board of Directors for the Mimi and Peter Haas Fund and the Levi Strauss Foundation.
